The partnership that the 'Wandsworth Summer Camp' had with Wandsworth and Merton Police, the Community and other agencies was a superb example of how, through harmonious teamwork in one of the capitals largest inner city boroughs, partners can work together for the benefit of hundreds of 9 to 16 year old young people and their families each year.

 

The Wandsworth Summer Camp comes under a charity called the Parallel Youth Enterprise whose  vision is to encourage Wandsworth’s children and young people to be happy, healthy and safe and help them achieve their full potential, by providing effective support to all during the summer months and at other times throughout the year.

 

We receive no statutory funding and are totally dependent on donations and grants given by those who recognise the valuable work that is carried out but that funding has not been there since 2023

 

Without the tremendous good will and backing of the Metropolitan Police and the volunteers who give their valuable free time there would not be the staff to run such professional Projects.
